Director, Product Management
Marketshare is growing and looking for a Director of Product Management to join our team. Our Saas offerings capitalize on use of big analytics on big data to help Fortune 500 companies optimize their advertising and marketing spend. Our goal is to deliver innovative and intuitive user experience for brand marketers to make better budget allocation decisions on a day to day basis. In this role you will run along the cutting edge with an all-star lineup of experts in computer science, software engineering, marketing science, operation research and marketing strategy. You will lead, prioritize, evangelize, and ship the next generation of SaaS products to an under penetrated market that is yielding 10X return on investment for the Marketers.

Sr. Simulation/Optimization Analyst
MarketShare is seeking Simulation/Optimization professionals with both theoretical and applied experience using Matlab to define, apply, and conduct simulation/optimization projects within the marketing and advertising science space. This role is in the Science and Innovation Department which works with the internal client project teams involving large scale custom data sets, advanced time series and cross section econometrics for demand generation, and proprietary simulation and optimization algorithms.
Responsibilities
• Architecting and developing the design, specification, and execution of client funded simulation and optimization projects.
• Supporting the development and testing of programming codes to transform predictive and forecasting model equations into computer programming algorithms.
• Hands-on client delivery for templates and approaches for simulation and optimization algorithms within the Optimizer platform.
• Performing advanced mathematical programming and simulations/forecasts to support client engagements.
• Developing process/tech with the goal of radically cutting cycle time for simulation and optimization projects as well as improving the execution time for simulation and optimization algorithms.
• Leading or co-leading the design, specification and execution of complex quantitative and computational modeling and optimization projects globally.
• Defining and developing product line extensions for services and new versions of the Optimizer platform.
• Collaborating with econometricians and academics with analytical methodology development and testing.
• Providing on-going thought and science leadership to innovation and IP development for MarketShare (e.g. leveraging operations research and economics background to innovate in Market Response Modeling, leveraging computer science background for emerging technologies, etc).
Requirements
• MS or PhD degree in Computer Science with strong programming skills in Matlab, good command of SQL, and additional exposure to Optimization and Statistics. The relevant experience might encompass object-oriented programming and design patterns, handling large data sets and data mining/machine learning, statistical and mathematical modeling, and exact/heuristic optimization algorithms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must.
• A strong orientation and understanding of working with client facing deadlines is a must.
• Direct hands-on design, development, and delivery experience of data, models, and algorithms in applied decisions support systems are desired.

Technical Product Manager - London, UK
As Technical Product Manager, you will work hand-in-hand with MarketShare’s client account teams, developers, product managers and QA. Your primary role is to work cross functionally to ensure successful client configurations and implementations of MarketShare’s marketing analytics software solutions. The ideal candidate has familiarity with creating and growing complex B2B web-based solutions. This should include expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects, with changing requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines. Familiarity with standard project management concepts, practices, and procedures, including Agile software development processes such as Scrum are critical for success in this role. You must possess expertise in communication, relationship building and collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets, and levels of experience. Strong root-cause business analysis and problem-solving skills, ideally within the context of software product development, management or QA are also helpful.
Key Responsibilities (these will vary with role seniority)
- Identify & document product requirements to enable more scalable implementations & improved value proposition for end users.
- Lead cross functional programs from requirements gathering to creating program plans, from implementing pilots to standardizing processes
- Deliver client implementations in a quality, timely manner
- Consult throughout the project to ensure the best client user experience and adoption potential
- Authoring and managing the project plan inclusive of project resource coordination
- Hands-on data management and analysis to support client specific configurations
- Driving cross-functional team deliverables, schedules, hitting target milestones, and managing assigned projects according to plan
- Ensuring that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress
- Collaborating with team members over the course of the complete project development lifecycle
- Acting as an advocate for customers throughout all stages of a project

Develop metrics to identify and track business trends, determine root-causes, and develop recommendations to improve products and processes
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Marketing Science or equivalent; MBA is preferred
- 5+ years as a business analyst, QA analyst, technical project and/or program manager in a fast-paced, short sprint environment
- Product management experience and a passion for product development a strong plus
- Ability to understand technical issues at a sufficiently deep level to identify gaps
- Strong advocate who can push agenda while preserving relationships, able to make critical trade-off decisions with limited information
- Fast learner with excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills

Sr. Data Analyst
We’re searching for a passionate Sr. Data Analyst to support the development of databases which power complex market research studies conducted on behalf of our clients. This position will report to the ETL Manager and will work with a team of database developers as well as senior project managers, and statisticians. If you have a passion for data development and data integrity we would like to learn more about you.
Ideal candidates will have the opportunity to grow in a number of areas:
- Data and Project management: Focus on optimal data development and data integrity. Manage work streams and priorities for distinct projects; Support development of client deliverables
- Methodology development: Contribute to MarketShare’s portfolio of internal tools and client facing products providing new analytical functionality and process efficiency
- Interdisciplinary work: interact with multiple teams across the firm to provide and improve our end-to-end solution: Data Management, Optimization, Strategy consulting and Engineering.
- Marketing: gain a deep understanding of how marketing works across a wide range of clients and industries
What We Look For
As a company developing innovative and ground-breaking solutions for our clients, we recognize that candidates from distinct backgrounds may be a good potential fit. Our ideal candidates possess a combination of professional work experience in quantitative analytics, especially marketing analytics, with strong project management talents, and time management ninja skills. Attention to detail is a must. (Projects are very sensitive to even slightest data change, must be able to pin point an error within huge datasets and explain with clients if necessary.)
Must haves:
- Quantitative experience
- Advanced SAS Linux environment and window environment skills.
- Excel-pivot table, vlookup, (VBA experience desired but not required.)
- Must be able to understand the complicated algorithm systems in short period of time and be driven to find ways to improve the efficiency.
- Experience auditing data, developing data, and performing data validation
- Understanding and experience working with relational databases
- Experience developing process steps and quality checks
- 2+ years of experience working with large sets of diverse, client data source files with SAS system. SAS application/macro development skill will be valuable.
